FAMILY APOSTOLATE
Archbishop Mar Ivanios, our Founder considered Family Apostolate as a very important field of our activities. That is why he established the third order for those leading family life. They can lead their lives with piety and deep devotion to the Lord if they become members. Their only obligation is to lead a holy and pure family life. It is our duty as religious to help them to lead their life reflecting their innocent love for God.
They should be directed to lead their lives in accordance with the doctrines of the Catholic Church. Much evangelic work can be successfully carried out through the initiative of such families. All know that ‘Grace filled families’ are centers of deep love. The love of the members of the family should be based on the love of the Trinitarian love. The fruit of the love among the family members is fidelity, their hope gives them children and their faith leads to sacramental life. It is our duty as religious to inculcate these virtues in the married persons. The parents, priests, religious and the grown up members of the church must lead good and pious life and then only we can create good children and better families. We, religious should go to houses, have a better relationship with the family members, give advice and direct them to a better life. Give importance for family prayer, Bible reading, reciting Rosary and singing devotional songs. We are to make efforts to enable families to be rooted in Catholic faith, communion and love for one another. Remember these are our primary duties.
