“Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation” (Mk.16:15). “As the Father has sent me, so I send you. When he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit’ (Jn.20:21-22). What the Son has given to the Church is indeed the mission of the Holy Trinity which the Father entrusted the Son and was perfected through the Holy Spirit. “The most important duty of the Christian Church is to spread the Word of God.” We are called to participate in this mission of the Church which is missionary by her very nature. The congregation can undertake, according to time and place, any apostolic ministry in harmony with its charism, which enable to elevate the people of God and to make alive the presence of the Church amidst them. The approval of the general council is necessary for undertaking any missionary work.
